Each answer moves you along the four price bands UK SEO tends to fall into.
Your site needs fixing before it needs a programme. A one-off full audit with the fixes done, £699 ($929), may be the better first spend.
A rough steer from the UK ranges in my SEO cost guide, not a quote: nobody can price SEO honestly without looking at the site. My monthly plans run from £899 ($1,199) to £1,999 ($2,599) a month (what each includes).
How the estimate works
What sets the price
The state of the site, how strong the competition is, how much work you want each month, and who does it. Each question covers one of those.
A band, not a quote
The result is a range. Nobody can price SEO properly without looking at the site, so treat it as a check on the quotes you’re given.
Where the bands come from
They’re the UK ranges set out in my guide to SEO costs, which lists its sources.

What people ask
Is SEO a one-off or a monthly cost?
It can be either. An audit with the fixes done is one-off. Growing traffic takes steady monthly work, because new pages and improvements build on each other.
What do you charge?
My monthly plans and what each includes are on the pricing page.
How do I know if it’s worth it?
Use the SEO ROI calculator to see what more search traffic could be worth to you.

Send me your site and you’ll get a short, honest read on what’s wrong. If you want the detail after that, the full audit is a paid piece of work, or part of a monthly plan.
