01 Blog writing

Blog writing services that answer the search, not a word count

One post or a monthly batch. Each one starts with keyword research, answers the question people are actually searching, links every fact to its source and arrives ready to publish. For businesses, agencies and in-house teams anywhere that publish in English.

02 The problem

Most blog posts are written before anyone checks what people search

That’s why so many business blogs are busy and invisible. Three things usually go wrong.

No search behind the topic

The post answers a question nobody asks, or one that ten bigger sites already answer better. It never had a chance.

Padded to hit a word count

Readers want the answer. Stretching 800 useful words to 2,000 makes the page worse for them and doesn’t make it rank.

Claims nobody checked

Old prices, invented statistics, generic filler. It’s the fastest way to lose a reader’s trust, and Google asks for content that shows real expertise.

03 Who it’s for

Businesses, agencies and in-house teams

Businesses

You know you should be publishing and don’t have the time. You want posts that bring in the searches your customers make, then send them to the pages that sell.

One-off or batch

SEO and marketing agencies

You’ve sold content and need a writer who doesn’t need hand-holding. White-label, written to your brief and your client’s style, with the SEO already done.

On demand

In-house marketing teams

You’ve got a plan and not enough hours. Hand over the briefs, or the topics, and get finished drafts back in your format.

Batch

Probably not the right fit if

  • you need thousands of words a week at the lowest possible price
  • the topic is gambling, betting, alcohol or vaping (I don’t write about those)
  • you want posts with no research behind them

04 Ways to work together

One post, a batch, or a steady monthly flow

The research and the standard are the same in all three. Only the volume changes. On any bigger order I’d suggest starting with one or two posts, so you can check the fit before the rest.

One-off post

Best for Trying me out, or one important piece

You give me a topic or a keyword, or ask me to find the best one. I research it, write it and send it back ready to publish.

  • Keyword research for that post
  • A check of what already ranks
  • Title, meta description and FAQs

Batch of posts

Best for Filling a content plan or a topic cluster

Four or more posts planned and written together, so they don’t overlap, they link to each other and they point readers to the pages that sell.

  • A topic list checked for overlap
  • Internal links planned across the batch
  • First one or two for sign-off, then the rest
Per-post pricesEach post priced by depth, quoted as one total before work starts
Plan a batch

On demand

Best for Agencies and teams with a steady flow of work

A set number of posts each month, written to your briefs or mine. Good for agencies who need a reliable writer they can put their name on.

  • White-label: my name never appears
  • Your brief template and style guides
  • US or UK English per client

05 What’s included

Every post, whatever the size

The same checklist runs on a 700-word answer and a 4,000-word guide. It’s the one I use for every client.

  • Keyword research: the target search, the related terms and the questions people ask, from Ahrefs
  • A look at the pages already ranking, so the post covers what they miss
  • Facts, prices and statistics checked against their original source and linked where they appear
  • Headings shaped around the questions people search, with the answer first, so the post works for Google and for AI answers
  • SEO title, meta description, H1 and URL slug
  • Internal links to your own pages, and suggested images with alt text
  • FAQs where they genuinely help
  • Delivered as a Google Doc, Word file, markdown, or HTML ready for WordPress or Shopify

06 How it works

From topic to published post

  1. 01

You send the brief (or ask me for one)

A topic, a keyword, your brief template, or just your site and who you sell to. A short form or a quick call covers the rest: audience, voice, spelling, format.

You get Agreed topics and a price

  2. 02

    I research it

Keyword data, the pages that already rank, and the primary sources. Anything I can’t verify gets flagged for you rather than guessed.

You get An outline, for batches and bigger pieces

  3. 03

    I write it

Written to answer the question fully and no longer. Checked against your brief and my own pre-publish checklist.

You get The finished draft with its SEO details

  4. 04

    You review it

Changes to match your brief are part of the job. On a batch, the first posts set the style for the rest.

    You get The final version

  5. 05

    Published, if you like

I can publish straight into WordPress or Shopify, add the internal links and check it’s indexed.

You get A live, linked post

What every post includes

07 For agencies

A writer you can put your name on

If you’re an SEO or marketing agency, I work as part of your team: your briefs, your client’s voice, your branding. The research and the SEO are done before the post reaches you, so it’s one review, not a rewrite.

Ask about white-label writing
  • White-label: my name never appears, and I don’t contact your clients
  • Written to your brief template, style guides and publishing format
  • US or UK English, matched to each client
  • Turnaround agreed for each batch before work starts
  • Keyword research included, or written to the keywords you supply
  • Invoiced to you, per batch or monthly

★★★★★

“I’m a small business owner with a blog on my site that unfortunately contained a lot of outdated and inferior content. I got in touch with Mike and he gave me some great advice initially and made some critical suggestions. From there, he’s been doing some incredible rewrites of my old blogs. They’re far more readable and engaging.”

10 Questions

Blog writing questions

How much do blog writing services cost?

Short posts start from £75 ($99), medium from £150 ($199) and long-form from £225 ($299). The price follows how much the topic needs, not a word count.

Do you do the keyword research?

Yes, for every post. If you already have keywords, I’ll work to those and tell you if I think a different target would do better.

Can I see samples?

The guides on this site are written the same way. I can also send published client examples in your sector if you ask.

Do you write in US or UK English?

Both. I match your market, and on agency work I match each client.

Do you write white-label for agencies?

Yes. My name doesn’t appear anywhere, I write to your brief template and I don’t contact your clients.

Can you publish the posts for me?

Yes, in WordPress or Shopify, with internal links added. Or I send them in whatever format you publish from.

Can you rewrite posts I already have?

Yes. That’s content optimisation: I use your Search Console data to pick the posts worth rewriting first.

Do you work with businesses outside English-speaking countries?

Yes, often. Many clients are based elsewhere in Europe or further afield and sell to English-speaking customers. I handle the English-facing side of the site (the research, the content and the technical set-up for those markets) alongside your own team. Prices have a pound and a fixed dollar figure, and I can invoice in either.
