01 B2B and manufacturing SEO

B2B SEO services built around how your buyers actually search

Business buyers search in product and problem terms, often across several countries, and the sale takes months. Most B2B sites are written in the company's language instead. I rebuild the site around the searches buyers make, then keep it growing every month.

02 The problem

Why B2B sites stay invisible

Your words, not the buyer’s

Sites built around "manufacturer", "supplier" and "solutions" phrasing, when the demand is in product category terms buyers type every day.

One page for everything

A single products page where each product line, application and specification deserves its own page that can rank.

Specs trapped in PDFs

Data sheets and specifications locked in downloads Google indexes badly and buyers can’t skim.

Several markets, one site

Buyers in the US, UK and further afield served one version with no signals about who it is for. Google's international guidance sets out the options.

No content for the long sale

Nothing for the researcher, the specifier and the buyer at the different stages of a months-long decision.

Reporting on the wrong thing

Traffic totals instead of the enquiries and quote requests that actually move a B2B pipeline.

Searches along the way

B2B buyers search at every stage, so each stage needs a page

Full-time retainer

Exporters selling abroad

Buyers in several countries, sometimes several languages. The site needs to be found in each market, not just at home.

05 What’s included

What a B2B retainer covers

  • Keyword research in buyer language. Product, application and problem searches, market by market, so the site is built around real demand rather than internal names.
  • A site structure that matches it. Product category, application and specification pages, each owning one set of searches, linked the way a buyer moves through them.
  • Technical foundations. Crawl, indexing, speed and structured data fixed, and international targeting set up where you sell abroad.
  • Content for the long sale. Guides, comparisons and specification pages written for engineers, specifiers and buyers, sourced and written for people first.
  • Reporting on enquiries. Search Console results for the pages that bring in quote requests, reported monthly against the plan.

06 How it works

What happens each month

    Audit and plan

  2. 02

    Research that keeps moving

Rankings shift and competitors publish. Each month starts with what changed, and the plan moves with it.

  3. 03

    Pages built and published

Written, built and live on WordPress, Shopify or a custom build. Not drafts left for you to implement.

You get New and improved pages

  4. 04

    Technical upkeep and internal links

Drift caught early, new pages linked into the ones that rank, and competing pages merged.

You get Fixes made, not listed

  5. 05

    A report you can check

Clicks, enquiries and positions from Search Console, what I did and what moved, including what didn’t.

You get A monthly report with the data

08 Questions

B2B and manufacturing SEO questions

What is B2B SEO?

SEO for businesses that sell to other businesses. Fewer people search, the sale takes longer and several people are involved, so the work targets the product, application and problem searches each of them makes, and is measured in enquiries rather than traffic.

Is SEO still worth it for B2B with AI search?

Yes. Google states there are no extra requirements to appear in AI Overviews beyond normal SEO, and B2B buyers still visit the supplier's site before they send an enquiry.

How do I choose a B2B SEO agency or consultant?

Ask who will actually do the work, what they will produce each month, and how they will report on enquiries. Be wary of guaranteed rankings and of long contracts you cannot leave.

Does SEO work for B2B when search volumes are small?

Yes, because the value of each search is high. A term with a few hundred searches a month can be worth more than one with thousands if the buyer is placing a five-figure order.

Can you target buyers in several countries?

Yes. Keyword research is done market by market, and the site gets the international targeting it needs, whether that’s separate country pages or several languages.

Do you write technical content?

Yes. Specification, application and comparison pages are researched from your data sheets and your team, and every claim is checked before it goes live.

How much do B2B SEO services cost?

Retainers here are £999 ($1,299) a month part-time or £1,499 ($1,999) full-time, and both start with the full audit included. See pricing.

Do you work with businesses outside English-speaking countries?

Yes, often. Many clients are based elsewhere in Europe or further afield and sell to English-speaking customers. I handle the English-facing side of the site (the research, the content and the technical set-up for those markets) alongside your own team. Prices have a pound and a fixed dollar figure, and I can invoice in either.
